Headteachers and senior leaders who are:
My approach is holistic, relational and grounded in professional coaching practice. I draw on accredited coaching training (ICF, ACC pathway), psychologically informed approaches including Transactional Analysis (TA), and extensive experience of leading in challenging circumstances.
Sessions are shaped by what you need in the moment. Some may feel spacious and reflective; others more focused and practical. I hold the structure so you can focus on what matters.
Coaching sessions are usually held online via TEAMS, or in person by agreement. Sessions are typically 60 minutes.
Confidentiality is central to this work. I adhere to the ICF Coaching Code of Conduct and would only break confidentiality in exceptional circumstances, such as risk of harm or legal requirement.
You do not need to arrive with everything figured out.
Bring yourself as you are.
I work with headteachers and senior leaders in education who hold a great deal of responsibility for others – those who are visible, accountable, and often carrying more internally than they show externally. What matters most is not just your role, but the experience of holding leadership while navigating what is happening beneath the surface. Leadership in education can feel isolating at times. You may be managing constant demands, decision-making and care for others, while also trying to make sense of your own internal experience. If you are carrying responsibility and looking for space to pause, reflect and think clearly, this work offers that opportunity.
Coaching focuses on your present experience and the future you want to move towards. Counselling and therapy explore emotional patterns, past experiences and deeper psychological processes. My coaching is relational and reflective, but it is not therapy. If something arises that would be better held in a therapeutic space, I will name that gently and clearly, and we can talk about the best next step for you.
Sessions are calm, spacious and grounded. You can expect attuned listening, thoughtful questions and a steady presence. We slow things down so you can hear yourself more clearly, make sense of what’s happening and find a way forward that feels aligned and sustainable.
No. While my own experience of loss shapes the depth and sensitivity of my work, I support leaders navigating all kinds of change, pressure and transition. You don’t need to be in a particular moment to benefit from coaching — you simply need to be curious about what’s happening within you.
The best way to know is through a conversation. Coaching is relational, and the connection between us matters. In a ‘discovery call’, you’ll get a sense of my presence and approach, and we can explore what you’re looking for. There’s no pressure – it’s simply a chance to see whether working together feels right.
Confidentiality is central to my practice. Nothing you share is discussed outside our sessions, unless there is a legal or safeguarding requirement to do so. As a trainee psychotherapist and practising coach, I also work within professional ethical frameworks that place your privacy and trust at the heart of my work.
My style is calm and grounded. I listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions and create a space where you can be honest without judgement. I don’t rush to solutions – instead, we explore what’s happening with clarity and compassion, so you can move forward in a way that feels true to you.
It varies. Some people work with me for a short, focused period around a particular transition. Others choose to work together over a longer stretch as part of their ongoing leadership support. We’ll talk about what feels right for you.
